Blog Connector (the “App”) is provided by Outrank SAS (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The App lets AI agents and external content workflows publish finished blog posts directly to your Shopify store. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how we use it, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

The App is designed to handle as little personal data as possible. It processes:

• Store information. Your store domain and the basic account details Shopify provides when you install the App, used to connect the App to your store.
• Blog content. The article content you or your AI agent send to be published — such as the post body, meta title, meta description, article tags, and URL handle. This content is transmitted to your store’s blog through the Shopify API.
• API token. A secure token generated for your store so your AI agent can authenticate and send articles. Treat this token like a password.
• Usage logs. Basic technical logs — such as request timestamps and error information — generated automatically when the App processes a publishing request, used to operate and troubleshoot the service.

The App does not request or access your customers’ personal data, orders, or payment information, and it does not use cookies or other tracking technologies on your store’s visitors.

How we use information

• To publish the blog posts you send to your Shopify store.
• To authenticate requests from your AI agent using your API token.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.
• To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your blog content to train machine learning models.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell or rent your information. We may share it only in these limited circumstances:

• Shopify. Content is delivered to your store through Shopify’s APIs, subject to Shopify’s own terms and privacy practices.
• Service providers. Trusted infrastructure and hosting providers that help us run the App, bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements. When required to comply with applicable law or to protect our rights, safety, and property.

Data retention

We retain information only for as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Blog content is passed through to your store and is not retained beyond what is necessary to complete publishing and provide support. When you uninstall the App, your API token is revoked and associated access is removed.

International data transfers

Outrank SASis established in France, within the European Union. The limited data the App processes may be stored or processed by our infrastructure and service providers in countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. When we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your API token confidential and regenerate it if you believe it has been exposed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You can also uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
